In the average workday, we spend hours switching from computer window to window. Each screams for our attention with notifications, animations, and pop-ups.

Thanks to Dutch digital artist Rafael Roozendaal we now have a digital place to go to when we need to be secluded from our desktop.

Blank Windows presents us with nothing more than that: blank windows. The design and shading of the white blocks is reminiscent of the those used in macOS, and they can be rearranged or resized to create different layouts.

Moving around the empty windows is oddly relaxing, knowing that for once there’s no information to consume.

The website is the latest work from the artist who creates digital art on a per-website basis. Some of his previous work includes Falling Falling, Slick Quick and Trash Loop. More of his work can be found on his personal website.
